Softronic decides to use short-term furlough
Since the start of the continuity work, the crisis management team has been focusing on long-term plans and actions to secure the company’s future.
During this period we have been monitoring more actively what is happening around us, our operations and our customers’ behaviour. Some sectors have been hit hard by this current situation, while others have had a lot more to do. We have also seen some customers postponing decisions on projects until after the crisis, with more competition for open enquiries.
As a result of this, we took the decision to put some employees on short-term furlough. The levels and duration of short-term furlough differ in accordance with the relevant legislation. We have held co-determination negotiations with the trade unions involved.
Senior management will continue to work on securing Softronic’s future, while ensuring that we remain an attractive employer and IT partner for our customers.

Following the Public Health Agency of Sweden’s announcement to increase the risk level from moderate to very high, Softronic has activated its crisis management.
This means:
- That the management team moved into ‘stabsläge’ (state of readiness)
- That we will provide updated information every day from Monday to Friday at around 16:00 or whenever necessary
- That we have taken action to ensure that all employees can work from an alternative workplace
- That we have validated our continuity plans for our customers’ business-critical systems
- That we have secured the availability of key people
- That we have offered validation that necessary support systems will work as planned
- That we have implemented action to minimise physical meetings in favour of digital ones.
Our task is to maintain our most important services and deliveries, which are critical for society in many cases. It is also important for our customers, suppliers and employees to be protected from this serious disease and for them not to contribute to the spread of the infection.
