Malin Fremnell is a consulting manager at Softronic and is what is known as a “returnee.” The main reason Malin chose to come back was that she sees Softronic as a very family-oriented workplace that offers opportunities for professional growth.
Malin leads a team of experts in M365 and Cloud Transformation/Operations.
- The reason I came back to Softronic was that I was contacted by a former colleague, and the role he described sounded very exciting. It was a new area for me—namely, taking responsibility for a team of consultants and services within Microsoft Cloud.
Malin describes the atmosphere at Softronic as very family-like, and that was a major reason she was drawn back.
- That, combined with the fact that we have a highly skilled team and great coworkers, made the decision easy.
As a consulting manager at Softronic, there is, of course, a strong focus on personnel-related issues.
- It has its highs and lows. The role involves financial monitoring and, for example, developing our offerings together with service owners. Every month involves forecasting, payroll, and invoicing. In my day-to-day work, I’m also involved in our deliveries, sales activities such as preparing quotes, and procurement. The tasks are varied, which allows me to work closely with my team.
Malin describes her leadership style as approachable and characterized by clear and open communication. This creates a positive environment for her employees.
- Being available and mentally present, as well as providing my staff with the right conditions so they can do a good job, is extremely important to me as a leader. It’s a fundamental principle for me as a manager that my team should feel comfortable talking to me and know that we’re working together toward the same goal—namely, doing our best for our customers.
Malin says that the best thing about Softronic is its pleasant and welcoming atmosphere and the opportunity to work alongside her colleagues.
- We have a good mix of our long-standing, stable, and strong customer relationships and new, exciting projects, which makes me feel that there are great opportunities for growth at Softronic if you’re willing to put in the effort.

In her free time, Malin devotes herself to her great passion and hobby of the past 10 years—namely, rock climbing.
