Saba has been working at Softronic since 2019. Read about how he spends his day and what he thinks about the ERP market in the future.
What is your role at Softronic?
I work as a Program Manager, responsible for delivering multiple projects across different client environments. My role is to create structure, keep momentum, and make sure that both Softronic and our clients are aligned around clear goals, priorities, and outcomes.
How long have you worked here?
I have been with Softronic since the beginning of 2019. During that time, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, industries, delivery models, and transformation initiatives.
What does a typical working day look like for you?
A typical day usually starts by looking ahead. I spend a lot of time assessing what needs to happen over the next one to two weeks, identifying risks, removing blockers, and making sure the projects continue to move forward. That involves daily synchronisation with project managers, client stakeholders, consultants, and delivery teams. I also prepare program updates for management on both the Softronic and client sides, making sure everyone has a clear view of progress, priorities, and decisions needed. The projects I work with can vary from highly technical and complex implementations to broader delivery, business process, and operational improvement initiatives. A major part of my work is combining analytical thinking with practical project planning, so that the delivery strategy is not only realistic but also improves how the client organisation works. In many cases, I manage programs made up of several projects, with internal teams of around 5 to 8 consultants and client-side project teams that can involve 50 to 80 people. So, communication, structure, and the ability to connect technology with business value are essential every day.
What are your thoughts on how the ERP market will change in the future, especially with AI?
I believe the ERP market is heading towards a major shift, especially as AI becomes more integrated into implementation and delivery work. Today, AI often acts as a powerful virtual assistant, but it still depends heavily on the quality of input, prompts, and human direction. That said, the pace of change is very fast. I expect ERP deployments to become far more automated in the future, with AI supporting areas such as requirement analysis, process mapping, testing, documentation, configuration, and even implementation planning. Looking further ahead, it is possible to imagine AI agents on the implementation side working with AI agents on the client side to identify the most effective way to deploy ERP solutions. In that kind of future, the human role will not disappear, but it will change. People will likely focus more on strategy, governance, quality gates, milestone validation, and making sure that the implementation supports the company’s long-term direction. For me, the exciting part is not that AI will replace project delivery, but that it can help us deliver smarter, faster, and with better insight.
What is the most enjoyable part of your assignment?
The most enjoyable part is seeing a strategy come to life. It is very rewarding when a delivery approach starts working, when the team gains momentum, and when the client sees the value and endorses the direction. I also really enjoy the variety. Working across different industries, business models, and international environments gives me constant exposure to new perspectives. It is especially rewarding to collaborate with people from different backgrounds and cultures, because that often brings new ideas and better ways of working.
What is the best thing about Softronic?
One of the best things about Softronic is the level of trust. There is confidence in people’s skills and freedom to operate, which creates a strong sense of ownership and responsibility. I also appreciate the healthy view of work-life balance. The working culture is relaxed in a positive way, while still being professional and delivery focused. That combination makes it easier to perform well, take responsibility, and enjoy the work at the same time.
What drives you?
I am driven by progress, achievement, and creativity. I enjoy taking something complex, giving it structure, and helping move it forward. Seeing ideas become plans, and plans become results, is something that gives me a lot of energy.
Name something not everyone knows about you.
Outside of work, I run a YouTube channel with more than 110,000 subscribers. It started as a hobby, but it has become a creative space where I can explore storytelling, music, and digital content in a completely different way from my day-to-day work.
