MRM Reskontra is Softronic’s proprietary ledger system for member organizations, where the main focus has been on support for trade unions and unemployment funds. It is currently used by six unemployment insurance funds, eight trade unions and an interest organization that together manage around 2.5 million members.
MRM Reskontra is today fully integrated with the membership system MRM, which is based on Dynamics CRM. The MRM Reskontra functions are technically a component independent of the CRM part of MRM, but from a user point of view they are fully integrated into the user interface of CRM. Other CRM-based membership systems have also successfully integrated with MRM Reskontra.
Background information
The needs of membership organizations with regard to ledger functions differ significantly from, for example, a company’s accounts receivable management, mainly due to significantly higher volumes. Few companies invoice more than 1 000 customers per month, while membership organizations invoice tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of members each month.
The demand for automation and efficient procedures is therefore a must. A dilemma is therefore the fact that no standard ERP system offers this type of automation but has to be developed.
Another fact is that such “built in” automation often results in long run times due to the fact that ERP systems perform a large number of checks on each transaction, which is required in the general case but not for a member ledger.
MRM Reskontra in brief

- Good usability for both member administrators and economists. The system is intuitive and scaled down, it should be “easy to do right”, minimizing the need for economists in daily processing. Economists can focus on analysis and daily reconciliations.
- MRM Reskontra currently has no separate user interface but is fully integrated into the CRM part of MRM for full accessibility to all MRM Reskontra functionality and members’ ledger data without having to switch systems.
- A major focus has been placed on performance to cope with invoicing large organizations’ billing, loading large payment files, etc. without running times having to interfere with daily processing.
- High degree of automation – Payment flows, notifications, authorizations, etc. are scheduled and monitored, results are reported back.
- A combination of built-in security roles controls who gets what rights.
- Softronic’s extensive knowledge and experience of travel account management and membership organizations means that we have been able to build the system completely from scratch. This means, among other things, that the system is independent of any third-party platform including accompanying license costs to take into account.
