Softronic Launches Tanon—an AI-driven software factory
Automates the development process from business needs and requirements to developed, tested, and ready-to-deploy code.
Softronic is launching Tanon, an AI-driven software factory that automates large parts of the system development process—from business needs, requirements, and specifications to development, testing, and code ready for delivery. The platform was developed by Softronic and is already being used in live development projects to reduce manual development work, increase traceability, and shorten the path from business needs to a working digital solution.
Generative AI has quickly become an effective tool for developers. With Tanon, Softronic is taking the next step: from AI that helps developers write code to AI agents that carry out coherent parts of the development process.
– We are convinced that the way organizations build and manage systems will undergo a fundamental transformation in the coming years. Until now, AI has primarily been used to make developers more efficient. With Tanon, we’re taking the next step and automating the development process itself. Business needs and requirements serve as the starting point, and AI develops, tests, and finalizes the solution, while humans steer the goals, priorities, and quality,” says Mattias Flock, CEO of Softronic.
Customer benefits: faster development, lower costs, and greater control
For organizations with complex system environments, recurring change requirements, or many manual processes, Tanon can shorten the path from idea to finished solution and reduce the amount of manual development work.
Through a more automated and traceable development model, organizations can more quickly translate business needs into digital solutions, reduce their backlog, and streamline the management of existing systems.
– What’s truly interesting isn’t just making traditional system development faster and cheaper. As the cost of software development falls, it becomes possible to digitize needs and automate processes that were previously not economically viable. This means that significantly more business problems can be solved with software,” continues Mattias Flock.
The solution also includes an AI agent that can answer questions about the project’s implementation, history, and technical changes. Tanon can be used both for individual changes in management and for larger, interconnected development tasks. The platform can be integrated with Azure DevOps, Jira, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Jenkins, among others.
Tanon combines AI-driven automation with Softronics’ experience in system development, management, and operations. Architecture, prioritization, quality assurance, and decision-making remain under human control, while AI can perform an increasingly larger portion of the operational development work.
– “AI can handle an ever-increasing portion of the development work. Humans set the direction, validate the results, and decide what goes into production,” concludes Mattias Flock.
Tanon is aimed at organizations that need to build new systems, automate manual processes, manage extensive system administration, or quickly translate new business needs into digital solutions.
