Hybrid IT operations
In today’s complex IT landscape, many organizations face the challenge of balancing hybrid and cloud environments. How can you effectively manage the security, governance and operations of these different environments – without increasing costs and complexity? The answer is Azure Arc and Softronic’s services for secure hybrid IT operations.
With Azure Arc, you can connect and manage resources in both public and private clouds – or on-premises data centers – through a centralized interface. Whether it’s virtual servers, Kubernetes clusters, or databases, Azure Arc gives you the same control as if everything was in Azure.

Challenges in Hybrid and Multi-Cloud Environments
Businesses living in hybrid or multi-cloud environments often face difficulties in integrating and managing different technologies and deliverables. An ever-changing IT landscape requires secure and cost-effective management, while agile cloud landscapes need to interact with traditional management tools and processes.
Azure Arc offers a centralized, unified way to manage your entire environment by connecting your existing non-Azure and/or on-premises resources in Azure Resource Manager. This includes both virtual and physical Windows and Linux servers, as well as Kubernetes clusters and databases.
- When a hybrid server is connected to Azure, it is treated as a regular resource in Azure. This makes it possible to tag and inventory your resources, make them searchable and establish an interface for all resources.
- By establishing Azure ARC on, for example, local servers, you get the same management of on-prem services or 3rd party cloud servers as in Azure.
Hybrid servers can be managed in the same way as in Azure via Azure policy. Get reports and status on Compliance and your Security Baseline to quickly and easily identify resources that do not meet security requirements and ensure priority actions.
The feature includes secure access to the resources through Azure RBAC (Role Based Access Control) and via Azure automation and Update Management, for example, patching ofon-prem or other 3rd party cloud servers can be automated and thus gain full control of your environment with minimal manual work.
By using Defender for Cloud, Log Analytics, and the SIEM service Microsoft Sentinel, your hybrid environment can be securely monitored and protected through a single interface.
A clear benefit for many organizations is that other on-premises tools currently used for traditional IT operations can be reduced or even eliminated.
If there is a requirement for certain data to remain within Sweden, Azure Arc can be an option for creating a controlled and automated hybrid cloud environment, with centralized management in a cloud-native platform.
Our move to new data centers
We are now halfway through our move to new data centers and things are looking really good! In this blog post, Thomas Stamreus, Operations Manager at Softronic, proudly tells us about one of our biggest investments in recent years: the establishment of our two new data centers in Sweden.
– The halls are established with high security and operational stability in focus and ready to meet future security and environmental requirements. The design has been done in collaboration with our security experts, our operations experts and CISO, thank you very much for all your commitment, says Thomas.
With the new halls, we also continue to deliver halls that run on 100% renewable electricity and are certified according to ISO 14001 and ISO 27001. On the security side, we have solutions to meet the NIS2 directive.
– With increased capacity, he also looks forward to welcoming new customers who want to run their operations in a modern, climate-smart, and secure environment—based in Sweden, with full control and the highest level of security,” concludes Thomas.
